The material for the perfect flying line

When it comes to lines, we always use high-quality branded goods. All our lines are produced in Europe and assembled by us. The basic material for lines is Dyneema, a high-strength polyethylene from the Dutch chemical company DSM. There are now SK 75 and SK 99 Dyneema. SK 99 Dyneema is even more tear-resistant with the same diameter and thus enables thinner or more robust lines. But only the higher quality raw material does not necessarily make a better line. For example, we prefer the DC300 to the DC301 despite its larger diameter, as it offers better long-term durability. 

As a front line

Here you can see an overview of the currently available front lines. For most applications, the DC300 is our recommendation. This line is very well proven and has been used thousands of times. If it needs to be extra robust, we recommend the DC Pro 401, which still has a moderate diameter. DC 500 and DC Pro 701 are already very robust and almost a little oversized for the purpose, but are always popular with those who want the maximum in robustness.

As a steering line

Here you can see an overview of the control lines currently available. In principle, everything that is used as a front line can also be used as a steering line. However, we consider the DC500 and DC Pro 701 to be a bit overkill. With soft kites, it is advisable to choose control lines that are somewhat thinner, as the air resistance pulls on the brake. This is less pronounced with tube kites.
